I know I'm getting older and there has been a good deal of beer and red wine pass between my lips, but do I remember the GTW being matt black in it's first life?

Hmmm, it was a gloss black when Wayne owned it and during the past 6 years it picked up a few scrapes. I took the decision to go for a respray - same colour code, but very, very, glossy!!!

Young George is a talented lad, that's for sure. And the car has really come together now - Wayne, Clive and Steve Smith doing all the leg work - I've just tickled it over the line!!

Phil

It does look really great and has lot of nice touches, but as I know a black car always needs cleaning/polishing. That's why mine is now silver(I'm lazy)!

Funnily enough the price is slightly less than I have spent on my rebuild (with the purchase price included), so good value.

While it may look like it needs roll bars from the photo, it actually can aid turn in and handling without them smile Also, that angle of photo is going to always make the car look like it's leaning a lot. If you took exactly the same, but of say a GT3RS it would be leaning a lot lot lot more!
just found this shot whilst looking through the readers cars thread, looks to be the same corner but slightly earlier and probably a fair bit slower

It looks a lot more complete than when I saw it in there last month (when I dropped my Elise off for some work).

Overall, a very special car!
