It was a long day. 1st the clutch alignment tool managed to put the clutch off centre. Then the elastic band was too tight and broke as I tried to pull the fork downwards to line it up. Third time lucky! Jesus all I can say at this point is that the clutch is twice as heavy as before! Just got to reinstall rear clip before leaving for silverstone.

I have that fun to sort out when my build comes back from having a new exhaust fitted next month.
For the first time I was able to sit in the car after fitting the seat - start up the engine, and play with the gear-selection. Jeez! I did not realise how sensitive the throttle was! I can see this being a right handful!
Currently the LS7 has a TT box (G96-50) fitted with a single-plate clutch, slave converter so it can use a std slave, but I am having problems with the gearshift not moving at all when engine running (selects when engine off), indicating that either the slave 'throw' is not quite long enough, or... since the engine has had the clutch fitted for at leat 2 years, then plate has got itself stuck on the flywheel.
Anyone know what shaft 'throw' is optimal on these?
Might take the box out and check the clutch again anyway!

Are you sure the clutch has been bled properly? 9 times out of 10 its straight forward but we have found once in a while its a right PITA, and gives exactly this problem. Might be worth checking?

one thing should be known the turbo box has a different slave setup than G50, GT2 or GT3 box. I has a hydraulic assistance and fork and take cylinder location are mirrored. I will try the original take cylinder as I could not find a proper replacement. The standard G50 take cylinder will not work as the rod is too short. Autobionics is machining the gear box on the other side so they can use the G50 take cylinder, but this also requires the G50 fork. It might be a solution to use a longer rod on the G50 take cylinder and try to fix this at the gear box. honestly I think it is not worth all the changes and hope that the original cylinder will work ok without the hydraulic assistance as this can be fixed at the original threats of the box. If you ever have to change the box you are lucky too as any non machined turbo box will fit.
