RE: Ultima World Record!
Discussion
I bought a 377 alloy block from AS but did not get the Chapman heads. What bolt pattern is used on the headers?
Does the source that you mentioned earlier has the ability to sell a set of headers for the GTR for the heads?..or did you take them the car with the motor in it and let them make a set.

These use a Stahl or Hooker header flange bolt pattern for the header.

Primary designs did a set of exhaust manifold and repackable exhaust.
They were of equal length !! Stainless steel and primary designs have the patern
Should be stated the exhaust layout is different to a 23 degree head thus the present exhaust manifold will not do ....

Whats your point here all the cars ran slower, used a combined 0-100 and then 100-0 time, they can't be bought from a factory and ran on a drag strip.
I just don't see the point

dinkel, from your article:
"Terry spent all day tweaking his Camaro to get from 0-100 mph as quickly as possible. Finally, with a big two-stage hit of nitrous, he mustered a very impressive 10.92 at 132 mph. This lighting-quick pass propelled his Camaro to 100 mph in just 609 feet. Combined with his stopping distance of 428 feet, his car was our clear 0-100-0 winner with a total acceleration and deceleration distance of 1,037 feet."
Gee, pretty hot. Ultima, no forced induction, no nitrous: 0-100 in 488 feet, 100-0 in 270 feet, and the full run including the driver reaction time not included in your article in 807 feet. Methinks them vehicles got spanked, even under more favorable testing conditions.
Besides, I doubt any of those cars could drive 10 miles in any US metro area without being ticketed for noise or illegal tires.

Yep it's fun to read and off course : The Ultima does the trick without the liquor and balloons.
It just makes you more. But I guess since these US guys are working on it they will come with a serious Saleenish beastie to give ol' Ultima some competition.
No bad thing as long as Ted will provide us with some nice footage 'n soundbites.

Yeh me to have more than a few emails from the guy myself. The only thing that worried me was the possable wear to the push rod and none roller rocker it sits in. The horse power has been proven, but I was just woundering about longevity......

I had heard about similar issues, but he assured me that initial problems were ironed out.. The heads don't seem to have had much publicity in the US of A so it difficult to track down any independant opinion.
But hey, you only live once. I'm bored if I ain't tinkering..
of course all this would not have been possible without the smooth/aesthetic gearchanging qualities of the Richbrook gearknob!

Herd about the wear problems in a US Mag feature. But if he gets the pushrod on a Roller pickup point then I will have a Pair. A 32V 7.2 Chevy would produce over 750bhp with his B3 Heads, and still Ideal nicely and rev to 8000. So his Email to me says.
Would love to believe him......
