Hmmmm, did he mention joining Seloc, you get a decent discount for that, think 10 percent, and costs 12 pounds per year, he also said that if you have any high performance driving courses they recognise you could get up to 9 percent of again. Mines an Ls7 and I'm 47 with 3 points etc. Live in herts. As someone's said before, after 400bhp they dont care till you tip 1000bhp.

Usually want you to be a member of a car club (with proof) and I got 4k miles with slightly lower value.

BTW. It pays to argue about price. Get the sales rep to talk to his manager as you may get a better deal.

The seloc discount was applied.

We had a car insured with cci a few years back, but since 2012 they've been uncompetitive. Can only assume it's to do with a bristol postcode.

CCI just quoted me almost half that they quoted last year.
So although Flux was cheaper by £115 at £510 I have cover for 5 track days.
I also have opted for the full legal etc.
Happy days (for me at least)
Quoted on drive (always do this)
900+ horsepower (covers any future mods)
3000 miles
£500 excess (I might tweak this to a grand and see what the premium drops to)
No convictions
Full NCB
Greater London post code
Old bd (now)
ETS just amended to £1000 excess Now £458 with the tax. well pleased.

I swear that CCI make it up as they go along.

They will now not insure my ariel atom mad though I have had it insured with them for the last 4 years iirc.

OK - quotes all over the place this year. Some wanting trackers fitted...

The ones that came in close were:

Classicline (but now don't include track days - at least for now, £50 a time)
Adrian Flux (track days not included at all - £200-£300 per day extra!)

CCI for me were £1250...

Need2Insure (01623 720081) were the best this time round (thanks for the reference on here) no need for a tracker (I have a Cat2 immobiliser only). Spoke to John Priestman. £775 including 5 track days, 3,000 miles, mine an LS7 700hp, 2013 car, £65k value. Took details and called back a couple of hours later obviously put in the effort and knows the cars. £20 better than the next best - but that one was no track days at all not even as an extra. Very helpful and efficient too.
