Presumably you've not heard from any of the organisers?

Never heard a thing. My son is doing the build with me and we were both excited to see and talk Ultima's.

Hi all: The meeting occurred Saturday as planned. The group gathered at 8 am as planned and published. A few stories where told and donuts consumed before the group left at 9am for Club Auto Sport. Club Auto Sport clubautosport.net is a commercial facility with multiple tenants all motor enthusiast centered. When we arrived we where parked by the organizer in an area he had reserved for us. As we all know when you park one Ultima you get a crowd when you park multiple Ultimas in a parking lot with 500 or 600 car nuts you get a polite riot. This was great fun, lots of great people and great cars including the cleanest nicest Bill Thomas cheetah I have ever seen billthomascheetah.com. Both of these web sites are worth a look just to see whats possible on the Auto Sport site and some history on the other. From this venue we took a great drive up to Alice's restaurant over some absolutely fabulous driving roads, see Google earth, Alice's Restaurant, skyline drive, woodland hills to get an idea of where we where at. A comment here

A comment here, I certainly only have limited time driving back roads in England but they always feel really narrow as opposed to say Holland. Am I correct in this thought or have I just been on the wrong roads? Anyway the group had a great lunch then returned on a different route back to Laurence Farmers shop in Morgan Hills from once we started. Laurence had a GTR up on stands in the shop so we all had a great couple of hours sharing thoughts problems and ideas about the cars with a great model in front of us for a prop. Eventually the group took Laurence to dinner to thank him for his kind hospitality. Plans are being made for another event next spring. Oh yea I forgot, while I was standing by my GTR at Club Auto Sport this very pretty, well endowed 30ish lady walks up to me and quietly says " the attention that a man gets with an exotic car is as close as he will ever know what its like to be an attractive women with a big chest"

Any chance of sharing a summary of the topics discussed, possibly to be fleshed out down the road as people express interest in particular points? I'm sure that information would be of interest to many current and future (my kit should ship in July!) builders.

Let’s see, 5:00am plus 3.5 hours, that equals 8:30am, that’s when I arrived! I mingled with the Ultima folks for ½ hour plus some, we then took off for a car show. While I agree that some kind of note should have been left for late attendees (I would have been pissed), your exaggerations seem.....phony
