Hello Keith,

I have an 8860 motorsport ecu from EMS and a data logger for it. I'm not going to use it because I'm (maybe foolishly) going the GM ecu route. There's a tuner for these in London I think.

If you're interested, PM me.

No Steve it didn't! It transpired that the tuner had little time (despite to forward booking) to give to my problem, which to be fair he thought would take more than a day (presumably with other bookings in between)to sort out.
Looks like I will leaning toward going the Syvecs route as I have pretty-much exhausted other possibilities. Remember my comment of earlier? The impression is, given a simple tuning job with fairly std engine, then there are lots of avenues, but if you have something more challenging maybe with a few gremlins to fix, then they all melt away! Nobodies fault but mine!

All very frustrating.

As you may remember I have an JS supplied LS7 too. I've never had mine tuned, Jeff seemed to think it would adjust itself for whatever exhaust and air intake I fitted. I would say he was right, but now I will be running with a restrictor most of the time so I thought a mapping session might help.

But your experience hasn't helped my decision process!

Jeff did kindly suggest he send a tuner over to me, but unless you have a very large wallet, at $1500/day & travel, accommodation, food and filling his bag with black Toblerones on the way back through the airport, you are into mortgage territory, and is a stretch too far for me anyway!!!

You must be joking...! That's sounds more like the cost for tuning an exotic engine which needs very, very special treatment. A Chevy small block is certainly NOT exotica.
