dear all,
after track day in Mugello, gtr white smoke to a minimum.

in acceleration ,zero smoke!

in the workshop at home:
- Water level ok.
- but the engine oil level +2.5 kg!
-gasoline has gone in oil because it "seems" that 3 engine fuel injectors, were stuck open!
-I overhauled injectors, clean maf, filter and put new oil (the old oil, had only 3 track day ....)

someone said to have ruined the piston rings , because the engine has run with gasoline in the oil ....

I was advised to try to make 200km with new oil (castrol 10/60 in L98 engine), hoping that the engine will "resume" ..... otherwise I have to open the engine and replace the piston rings !

-There has never happened?
-which may be the reason?

I'm not a lucky person weeping

Thanks to all those who answer me

the damage, if any, is proportionate to what you heard and when the incident happened...
Obviously you would be warned of the possibility of the bores in the affected cylinders being washed out, thus more wear, but that does not mean it is certain!

So, I would do a simple compression and leak-down test (plenty of youtube vids on this) on all cylinders first to assess if there are problems or not! ...

That way you don't guess....you KNOW! You could be lucky! Lucky-Lucky! nerd(sorry...couldn't help myself)

I would suggest you invest in a borescope http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borescope
Perfect tool to look inside your cylinders without having to open the engine

engine but have only 8000 km!!
it's impossible!
oil had only 1000km (use in track day ....)
i do not understand: why??
Has it ever happened to anyone?
perhaps because the MAF was clogged?
and so has blocked 3 injectors?? banghead

2.5kg of Gasoline is around 3.5 litres volume - around half that of an LS engine's oil capacity (dependant on cooing system), that seems a lot not to notice, surely the car was misfiring badly at that rate?,
I'd do a compression check, and if it doesn't look even across the cylinders, it may benefit changing out the oil with a mineral grade "breaking in oil" to try and re-bed the rings, though if the bores were that badly washed...........frown

Sounds like you have been Lucky lucky Lucky. Only time will tell. But compression and leak down would be a good idea as Keith says. And a borescope. Language is a big problem here!

Breaking in oil = mineral grade.
Use to help bed in piston rings if there is a need.
Synthetic oil will not let the rings bed in as it is too good.

If 3 injectors stuck open, I'd think you have a wiring fault.

My Canam drew a lot of attention at the Ferrari and Lambo factories when I went to visit!

ciao
fortunately after 200km with new castrol edge 10/60 + Sintoflon my gtr stopped smoking at least!!!!
well I cleaned the maf and I went to imola!biggrin
senna day
fantastic day and my gtr very well.bounce

I am very happy although I maf (hot wire) that continues to get dirty and have to clean it every track day: I installed kn conical filters and I think maybe the MAF dirty because they are in an oil bath.

What do you think?

thanks to all for the answers and the help of the last time.clapbow

Air filters such as K&N which use oil definitely can mess up MAF. I had exactly the same happen on my BMW M5. I would not run MAF on this type of car.

In fact, I want to Get off oil from my, filters KN because I think gives me a lot of problems
also what happened to me with gasoline in the oil.
I have built an airbox and maybe it is better to put an air filter panel in the paper, WITHOUT oil
