I admit that I don't know a great deal about ABS so can anyone help me.

Can it be fitted to the AP braking system?
If so, what units do people recommend or have used themselves?

Any help is appreciated

If you want (or need) ABS or traction control you have purchased the wrong car.

The Ultima is a stripped out road legal race car. The more you add, the less you get.

All IMO.

I get that totally.

It's just those occasions where you have no other option than to slam on the brakes, it's better to have that security of ABS on the road.
Less so for traction control on the road but still a point.

Bosch do a retrofit system for race cars.
As for Mr Torque's system. I do not mean to be rude but we have been waiting approx a year for his PWM fuel pump controller to either be available for purchase or for a design drawing to be available.

No mean task to bring this to a general consumer stage, the fuel pump control module needs to be proven durable and only he (max) can make a decision as to when that will be, if ever.
As to ABS I'd imagine all sorts of liability issues surrounding such a system especially if it were to be used in a road application.

To be brutally frank, the reason you (or anyone for that matter) can't buy my pump controller, is that it simply isn't worth my time to make it available. I.E. the price i would have to sell it for, and (judging by most of the threads on fuel systems etc on this site) the amount of my time it would swallow supporting owners getting it to work properly make the device non-viable. Unfortunately, i can make an awful lot more money spending time doing my day job that i would ever do selling a handful of these devices. It's a pity, but that is the bare economics of it. The commercial pump controllers you can buy are poorly designed, poorly built, and very simple, because that is what has had to be done to make money from those devices in this sort of market.
