R888 vs Kumhos
Discussion
Does anyone have experience of both r888s and Kumhos v70s on both road and track.
I love the Kumhos on track, but on road they're pretty horrible. Are R888s are big improvement on road specifically tramlining, and how do they compare on track?
Would like something that's less compromised for road use, but don't want to compromise the other way with a pure road tyre!
Cheers

888's have a stiffer sidewall so less forgiving in wet conditions, also seem to plane easily, cold is your enemy! I used these on my Exige, Yoko's were better in dry but scary in the wet!! (unfortunately Yokos don't do Ultima sizes) .I love the Kumhos on track, but on road they're pretty horrible. I have Pirelli Corsas on the Ultima at the moment (££££'s though) and as a road tyre couldn't be more pleased, they are very predictable in all conditions, no tramlining and seem to cope traction wise with the power.
Best bet is two sets of rims.
Kumho's are the better track tyre by some way than 888's IMO (though don't last long ).
I intend to try Michelin cups next time around for road.
ETS 888 front fitment means having to go wider for same A/R or go to 40 A/R for same width.
