So just putting the clutch back in the car and my old generic clutch centering tool is a bit too short. Anyone got any recommendations or one I can borrow?

I have a rather crude home made one which you could borrow if you wish. I am near Cambridge, where are you?
This weekend is quite busy but I will be about tomorrow afternoon/evening.

PS. My engine is an LS7 and box is G50.52 - don't know if that matters.

Thanks Storer!

As it happens I bought a tool online - figuring costs of asking someone to post it to me and post back etc!

Probably a worthwhile purchase in the long run too.

I am currently refurbishing my Colchester lathe so may well make a better one ready for my next gearbox out.....

You can borrow mine.
Masking tape wrapped around a piece of 15mm copper water pipe.
Works a treat.

Me? I'm saying nothing smile

I'm a saddo - any excuse to buy a new tool however small the legitimacy!

Tell me about it, my workshop is an Aladdin's cave of near redundant weird and wonderful tools and equipment!
