Well having thought that I had a wheel bearing issue it turns out I haven't.

I have a gearbox/transaxle issue.

I think the bearing on the passenger side of the gearbox has failed as I am able to move the shaft up and down quite a lot. The box is a G50/52 with a CMS strengthening plate on that side and has an LSD.

So it is box out time and off for a refresh.

Recommendations please!

There's a couple of places near me but at 650 labour for my problem was too much but for an overall not so bad,,, then parts and vat but they are good if you want the info,

the sports and classic is supposed to be fantastic and has gearboxes from all over europe, but Paul ive not used them and prices i felt high for my repair
