I have to replace the CV boot on one wheel as it has a pinhole split.

Got all the parts I need and thought I would quickly check the process in the build manual (I didn't build this one!).

Helpfully the CD manual lists the bolt torques for the drive shaft as Outer 28-32lbft and Outer 58-62 lbft. Any ideas which should be inner? Or real world advice on the proper torque settings if different?

Thanks

The higher figure is for the larger bolts on the gearbox. I did the same job a few weeks back smile

Thanks for that, I thought that it was probably that way round but didn't want to find out otherwise the hard way!

Next question, anyone know what the outer CV boot is from? I had bought a "universal" item that isn't.... Various sources point to Porsche 930 but the boot doesn't look like mine.

I was hoping to get the job done today, but the factory are shut so I can't ask them. If I don't get it done tomorrow then I'll just get one from the factory.

Thanks again.

The shaft is I believe custom but the CV joints are GKN parts so you should be able to get spares from a number of race prep type outlets. Whether they can better the Factory price remains to be seen.
