deadscoob like I said in my previous thread they do improve airflow into the rear clip especially on a Can-Am thats why Andygtt had some made by Revere (they are "scoops" after all) and macgtech has kindly given some figures for you to ponder over who actually races an Ultima so they do work, and yes they do improve the aesthetics of the car, so its a double whammy, but to suggest drag
Russ,Very much looking forward to you shipping me the scoops that I bought from you....has it been 2 years ago!

The side scoops were posted to you on the 09/01/2014 this is the photo that I e:mailed to you with the tracking no.
2-3 months later, you inform me they hadn't arrived.
out of 40 + sets that I have sent all over the world, 'YOU' are the only person that you say hadn't received a set and again the only one that couldn't organise an overseas bacs transfer,
The actual payment took about 2 month's to materialize.
I offered to post a second set out to you, at your cost for the postage ?
May I suggest that you are a retired gentleman and have no comprehension of time, because its been 10 months NOT 2 years
If you wish to contact via an open thread I will reply via an open thread.
like I said I will send a second set out at your cost,

Jonny says it improves temps, I don't suffer high temps due to additional and enlarged vents, so if for me it's only for looks but causes drag on track there's not much point for me. Might slow me down 0.5mph on track highflyer said:
PS to save any confusion on the postage date it was 09 January 2014 NOT 1st September 2014
because Americans have their day month the other way around ?
You are right, I'm all wrong.because Americans have their day month the other way around ?
So how much more money should I send you?
Please forgive me, I am only an American;)
If you can let me know the tracking number for the shipment and I'll track it down.

Linked to this and the discussion on replacing the mesh with something more open, to aid airflow, does anyone have any recommended links? I've found this page and would be keen to get an experts view on the best replacement...

The 73% open area stuff will let more air through, however try and find a supplier who will also flatten the sheet in a press, apparently the angular holes in "split and stretched" aluminium raised mesh causes quite a lot of turbulence compared to flat.http://www.dyersmetalmesh.co.uk/aluminium-raised-m...
I'm no expert but I do deal with laminar air flow and air distribution on a daily basis, and the flat raised argument makes sense to me.

I see what you're saying, makes sense I'm no expert but I do deal with laminar air flow and air distribution on a daily basis, and the flat raised argument makes sense to me.
GI found a supplier of hexagonal ally mesh, it was about the least restrictive I could find. Once cut and shaped it was powder coated:
I'm sure along with the additional / enlarged vents this helps with the cooling. Plus it looks better than standard which is a bonus .
I'll try and dig the suppliers details out.
