Hi Heike,

Glad to hear from you and so happy you are enjoying the "orange beast" and keeping Uwe's spirit among us all. If you need some help, just shout as I'm not very far away. Have you kept the green one too?

Thank you very much Paul!
I am pretty sure I will need help sooner or later...
I enjoy the car very much but it is terrible sad at the same time.

It is lovely that you are continuing to use a car that Uwe loved and put his soul into.

I know it is a bit far away, but if you find you need an expert to do anything on the car I will happily supply contact details of a man who works to the highest standard and would never rip you off. He has experience working on a vast number of different Ultima's. (Not me).

I hope you are able to enjoy the car and the memories.

Paul

I know exactly what you mean, I haven't driven my car since I lost my wife almost 2 years ago, plus almost a year while I was looking after her.
I took her seat out and that's in the study now, the factory very kindly sent me another seat. The car has gone through a body refit and colour change and although essentially the same car that I built underneath it's new on top so I'm hoping it won't be so sad, but I'm not holding out too much on that......the first drive will I imagine be emotional albeit to the MOT station.......
Hopefully you might get to meet a few of us, I met Uwe years ago when he came over to Stoneleigh and had a good chat with him as he noted I had the same dash he was installing.....

Hopefully you, like me, are making some progress.......
