Moving my Can-Am
Discussion
Really?? you know I assumed the Ultima wheels were different, but Ive always been happy with the ultima ones..... The vast majority of Audi wheels are 5 x 112mm PCD and Ive got loads of those HA!
Also search for this stuff.... anyone fancy spending some time converting this to mm??

Okay I did some measuring and here's some basic dimensions that can be used to assess whether an aftermarket or alternative wheel might fit your Ultima.
Common Dimensions front/rear;
Bolt Spacing PCD; 5x112mm (Ford Granada, Some Audi, Mercedes and VW but bolt spacing is only a small piece of the puzzle)
Stud hole diameter; 0.75 inch
Center bore diameter; 2.5 inch
Center bore chamfer; 45º
Center bore chamfer width 0.05 inch
Wheel to hub mating flange diameter; 6.375 inch
Rear Rim specific;
Rim width; 13 inch
Backspace to inner flange; 8.25 inch
Backspace to outer rim edge; 8.75 inch
Offset; 3.25 inch
Center hub mating face to wheel spoke depth (Caliper clearance); 0.9 inch
Front Rim Specific;
Rim Width; 8.5 inch
Backspace to inner flange; 4.75 inch
Backspace to outer rim edge; 5.25 inch
Offset; 1 inch
Center mating face to wheel spoke depth (Caliper clearance); 0.45 inch
If you are not familiar with wheel specifications and dimensions do a Google search and you'll get diagrams of what each dimension refers to. US wheel manufacturers for the most part refer to 'backspacing' as measurement to inner flange (lip of tire bead seat), although some use to outer rim edge as it is easier to determine accurately. Verify with your wheel supplier exactly what they refer to as 'backspacing'.
The legal stuff; Information in this post is provided for information only, it is up to you to do your due diligence as to correct fitment of any alternative rims. I will not be held responsible for any inaccuracies, non fitment issues, or accidental death/dismemberment arising from use of this data.

So I figured I could try a set of MB 17" wheels (dirty) I have lying around in the garage. They fit perfectely on the front, but I need to make some spacers to place at the rear between the nut and rim. A piece of tubing with 12mm inner diameter should be perfect.
