Can anyone tell me where the identification numbers are on a Porsche G50 transmission? I have found the cast numbers near the drivers side drive shaft, it is 950.301.102.3R. The gearbox is installed and it's difficult to find the serial number. There is what looks like a bare flat bit near the drain plug (obviously on the top as it's upside down) but I can't make out any numbers.
Thanks
Roj

Thanks Steve. Had another look and I can see it right under the chassis member. I don't know how I am going to be able to read it though.

If you can get your finger over the top of it, why not place a piece of paper on top of it and rub it like a brass rubbing to get an impression (not Frank Spencer)
