My engine should be ready in the next couple of weeks and I'll need to rearrange the garage a bit to make room. Does anyone know the crate dimensions offhand for an AS LS7? I'm guessing something in the neighborhood of a 4' cube or perhaps slightly smaller…

So, not much more of a footprint than the engine, itself? Tie-wrapped cardboard around a $30K engine?!? Wow. I suppose it doesn't matter so long as there's no damage, but still…

Well, hopefully they insured it ;-). Probably something that should be asked about when placing the order.

A wooden crate would be ideal, but then I imagine the freight would be a darn bit more.

There's that, of course. So long as it's in good shape when it gets here, I'll be happy.
