I had straight pipe fabricated where I could remove the muffler boxes and insert the straight through sections for track use.

I did it, simple welding job, soooo much fun but very unsociable, I think the worst effect was setting off 4 car alarms in 100meters smile

I can`t describe it. At iddle there is something bumping into your stomach. At full throttle you want more.......or something like that. From outside........sorry I'm always inside.

To sound really awesome the pipes need to exit pointing at 90 degrees to the direction of travel as in racing Corvettes.

The sound of thunder......

would it not be better to get some of those valves you weld into the exhaust system, that open and have a little pipe coming out to give u the effect of straight though?

Nah
That's a pussy cat compared to the Le Mans 2014 Corvettes bouncing off the pit straight walls....

Those are based on a BMW V8
Power is 500bhp in restricted form with a 10,000RPM red line.
Wouldn't want to imagine the cost of maintaining and re-building one of those on a regular basis.
ETS fantastic engine ........and the noisecloud9
