Yes - I would like to see a photo of the engine in place in the chassis.

T it looks a great piece of work, one which when sorted and built will probably be the daddy of the UK GTR scene. I won't bog you down with technical questions except to say well done on the ambition and thought behind this car

I'll keep everyone posted as she nears completion... Thanks for the well wishes Barrie; it's good to hear from you. This forum is like policing a Lion's Den at the moment lol. That said; hope I get to keep the car, or build another in a couple of years and meet with everyone in the community. Hope you've also enjoyed good progress since we last met up. All the best. T

I disagree...

Very happy to be benefiting from a heavier power plant when putting down circa 1K BHP in a car weighing less than a packet of crisps!

Running lower temps than twin turbo arrangements under the rear clam.

Yet to fit GT40 rear ducts (Pagani Zonda style), carbon wrapped with fan assisted ducting to carb.

ReflectaGold firewall and clam, Zircotec coated headers, silencers etc.

Gail from American Speed (the Factory's preferred supplier) has built and setup this engine specifically for an Ultima GTR.
Is there any reason Gail didn't use an ally block on this build?

Also have you got any pictures of the ducts feeding the carb(s)? What sort of fans were used?

Quick update:

After an amount of soul-searching, reading back through all your comments and once again consulting the team at MacG Racing; we've collectively drawn the conclusion that heavily restricting the output of this monster American Speed engine would be going totally against the original goal.

Therefore, I am biting-the-bullet and factoring in a complete high-end Albins transmission (courtesy of MacG "wooo-hooo"), to fully realise the cars potential in delivering the 1050 bhp + it delivered on Gail Trent's dyno. A bit mad, I know.

The order with CMS has been shelved (ref. internals, spray-bar, billet upgrades etc.) and after a total tear-down, we've just finished servicing / calibrating / completely rebuilding the G50/52 this evening (...new seals, various bearings and other serviceable parts etc.). So yes, it will be up for grabs ~ in its original glorious form, bar the cooler and fresh paint job! (...paint yet to be flattened and polished).

Depending on how things go this year; it'll be either a new owner, or myself that gets to make the first run down Santa Pod, in a fully sorted rocket-ship.

I'll update the advert when my stock G50/52 is sold.

Good evening all.

Note: California Motorsports (CMS) provide a cable shift adapter for the G50/52, if you are not embarking on the rod-shift route. This is a relatively simple case of machining out a circular blank on the G50/52 casing, then attaching and connecting up the adapter; which my technician would happily do.
