Hi gent's
Is it possible to retro fit a lowered floor pan in an already completed Ultima please,
The clutch and accelerator pedal assembly which is bolted to the floor pan have 3 hole positions that the pedal's bolt through I am assuming these are for adjustment for the taller person ?
would like to confirm this for any prospective buyers taller than 5'7"
Thanks

The lowered floor pan does not affect the area where the pedals are.

The lowered pans replace the floor under the seats and drop them by about an inch.

Is it possible to retro fit? Maybe.
They will require the old floor to be cut/ground out and the new floor welded in from underneath. You are then left with rectifying the paint damage from the welding and sealing.

If leg length is your problem then there is very little you can do to a complete car.

Hope this helps.

I have considered bolting a lowered floor into mine with captive nuts and plenty of sealant!

Replacing the floor pan would be possible but quite time consuming.

The different pedal positions are I believe a leftover from the development phase. There appears to be only one position that works.

it was done a while back I think, someone on here retrofitted the lowered floor pan as well as a roll cage. There was photos.

the whole centre section/side pods were removed from the car.
you would probably want to be able to set it up so that you can weld from the top down.

its going to wreck the powder coat.

I think that was me.

I would still want to weld the floor as it does add considerable strength and it is all that stands between you and the tarmac.....
