Door locks

I bet this has been covered but the search function on the site leaves a bit to be desired.
My door lock-- When I turn the key it will only turn about 1/4 way then stop, Unable to lock doors.
Yes I am using the right key.

Any suggestions?

PS. Soon to be on the road, waiting for inspection date.

It suggests the mechanism is fouling.

Try setting up your mobile phone to film the operation while you turn the key. You should be able to see what is going on and then be able to rectify the issue.

I had the same issue with my drivers side lock last year on my 2005 Can Am. I don't know if the factory are using different locks now, but originally they were from 1986 - '91 Fiat Pandas. A replacement sourced from Ultima was around £45, but I managed to get one for £9.99 with two keys from www.partsworld-uk.com, including delivery - their part number 5756898 (271300653238).
