Ultima Launches New Evolution Model
Discussion
Talking of stone chips... If the front body work is different and you have an old one still available then I may be interested in reserving it. Did I read it write that the old design is not being produced anymore? Replacing the front body work may work out cheaper than having the whole car painted. Plus one upgrade not considered is a armorfend / premier guard transparent film to protect the body work, cut to shape to easily applied.

Have you got a grill on the brake duct outlet (surely they are wheel arch outlets) to keep the stones from chipping the body?

mines been open since the factory built it.. the black part you see in the photo gets shot... but all the paint work on the side body work untouched..
Good to see the cars evolving while retaining their pedigree...
As for the monster blown ls, I am interested how the plumbing works to get all that hot pressurised induction air from the supercharger all the way to the front, through two intercoolers and back to the engine. Can't see pipework in the pictures but must be there somewhere !

The supercharger is mounted on top of the engine and has an air to water intercooler mounted beneath it inside the intake manifold. (Google Whipple 4.0ltr LSx supercharger for more info). The twin front mounted intercoolers are actually Low temp radiators (also known as heat exchangers) that cool the water after it has been through the under supercharger intercooler.
Wow - Just WOW!!
Brilliant mods. Love it. And black and gold!! Awsome.
Photographer dude, nice work. Really selling it there nice one.
Just one comment. Which bits are Carbon and which bits are printed? The mirrors look carbon, the headlamp cowl not. I know there is a difference in using the term Carbon Fibre 'Style' vs Carbon fibre, but IMHO printed Carbon 'look' has no place on an Ultima. The headlamp cowls are such a highly visible area too.
Brilliant though. Well done Ted, Richard and team Ultima

Interesting to see that the New Evolution Model (NEM) uses a blown LS7 over the LSA option. Factory says that this choice was made to obtain a higher revving engine (greater top speed potential) with a better oil lubrication using the dry sump which goes with the LS7.
No reason the LSA wouldn't fit and work, however the blower is only 1.9ltr as apposed to the 3.85 ltrs that's used on the current supercharged car. The internals of the LS7, assuming it is an LS7 block and not an aftermarket one, will need to be replaced as the comp. ratio is to high and the rods / pistons won't take the load. The bigger bore of the LS7 also allows better flowing heads with less valve shrouding which will help make more power than the smaller bore of the LSA or LS9. So this allows a lower boost to be run to make the same power.
The LS9 block is actually probably stronger than the LS7 (more material around the bores, better material, same oiling I think), but they cost.
Just to let the forum members know we have been overwhelmed with amazing interest around the world for the new Ultima Evolution since the launch less than 24 hours ago and have a huge backlog of emails which may take around 7-10 days to catch up with. We guarantee to answer every customer email we receive at the factory but it will take some time.
Very exciting times for the Ultima brand.
