Excellent job Richard/Ted, I'll book my tickets later today, as mentioned by Roj, can the factory recommend any Hinckley hotels which would be a great place to stay on the Saturday and be the starting point for a drive out on Sunday
When I went to the Factory in2012 to place my order, I stayed two nights at the Premier Inn Hinckley. It's next door to the Marina with a pub/restaurant just opposite. Quiet, friendly, not expensive and totally recommendable. OK this was a couple of years back but I can't imagine that things have changed much. Also it's not far from the Factory.

Going on previous experience of taking cars to silverstone classic it would be good iff the factory could bring a banner and if Damien could come been as he's the factory's official photographer
Very proud to say that Richard has asked me to attend the Silverstone Classic on behalf of the factory and has asked me to generally take photos of customers cars on the day and of the Ultima cars display- if anybody has any special requests to take specific photos of their Ultima on this day or in general just let me know directly I'll be very glad to assist where possible. Im really looking forward to the event, not least because I love Ultima's but also Ive found Ultima owners to be generally the nicest bunch of petrolheads on the supercar scene! And of course you all drive the best looking and fastest cars biggrin See you all there!

I'm looking to drive up early Sunday morning from Southampton in my Can Am and support this inaugural event. Let's make this a great success and grow it from strength to strength. With another year lead in time, I'm sure additional fun and social stuff can be built in to fill the full three days of the 'Classic.

Some great suggestions.

The Silverstone Classic looks like a superb event and a perfect Ultima Gathering location: http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/

We've made some enquiries with the organizers and will report back here in due course. Our aim is to make this an annual Ultima Gathering instead of the Open Day and we will be happy to sponsor Ultima drivers entry fee to some extent. We will also drive over at least a couple of factory cars to join in for the duration. Perhaps make the Sunday as the main day each year.

Once we have some more news will report back here. We can also promote it on our site and via social media once a definite plan is formed.

Whilst an Ultima specific track day would be nice there are loads of track days to choose from every week with instructors always present, whereas this would be an annual Ultima social gathering for owners, enthusiasts and potential customers.

Who would be keen to attend the Silverstone Classic on this basis in their Ultima to get an idea of numbers from PH to begin with?
Would you prefer the Open Day or the Silverstone Classic? Our preference is the Silverstone Classic if we can make it happen as it seems to be action packed for us petrolheads with a huge audience to showcase the Ultima.

Could a meeting place be arranged on the edge of silverstone so that the ones that are already there for the weekend and those that can't make the main convoy could meet up with the rest to drive in

Also booked. Saturday & Sunday. Made a right hash of the booking though & ended up buying ordinary tickets the first time round. The discount code did not work / me having a dumb moment on the online booking form. So beware press the submit tab after typing in the discount code and it will take you to the correct registration / payment page. So I now have a standard adult ticket for one person for Saturday and Sunday if anyone is interested.

Hi Guys
Just on the hotel, I've contacted the Hinckley Island Hotel (one of those suggested by the factory and the one with the security barriers and security guard) and their price for a double room on Saturady 25th July is £113 for bed and breakfast with a credit card reservation which can be cancelled up to mid day on the day or £90 booked and paid now. Seems good value. If there is a consensus I would suggest we all book in here. I will then ask Richard what time he wants to leave by and for a meeting point for those already at Silverstone. For those travelling from Scotland etc you would probably want yo book in for Sunday night, might even do that myself.

You've beaten me to it with that post Roj, but I agree with your suggestion and I'm happy to go with that hotel too.
Maybe we should just stick with that to make sure everyone books into the same place.

Do we know what time the convoy will leave from Hinchley. That will help determine for me whether I come up the night before. It's about a 2 hour drive from where I am.

I'll book the hotel if its going to be a very early start.
