A question for the seasoned Ultima owners. What is the practical way of mounting and removing the clips? Unscrew the bodywork from the rose joints or remove the rose joints from the chassis? I assume doing the latter you need to take care as this screws up the body alignment.

Undo the bolts from the rose joints, keeping your alignment.
To remove the rear clip completely I use a rolled up duvet laying under the rear of the clip, undo the gas rams then the rose joint bolts, lift the clip and it should just roll off and onto the duvet and then lean up against the wall of garage.
Best to use an old duvet, not the one from the bed and certainly not whilst she's still sleeping under it!!

Thanks Graham. I also thought the removal of the bolts was the best solution. I don't have an extra duvet hanging around except the one we use in our bed. I don't dare touch that one for fear of being torched, but I have plenty of blankets to protect objects when moving. Those should be sufficient.

Spot on Graham, I use a dust sheet. I must say you had me laughing out loud with the picture of you nicking the duvet whilst your missus was still asleep under it.

Also don't forget the rear bolts are threaded so have to be undone the whole way once you take the nuts off, whilst the front bolts push out once loose, but yes leave rose joints in place.
