I have used a zz4 355HP for the past 18 years in the spyder, 30k hard miles, its just gone bang. piston holed.

Thinking of replacing with something a bit bigger (around 450BHP) but old iron. Where would you suggest I look for a fully built crate/stroker type engine.

Tried real steel who don't seem interesting in selling anything, also summit. Anything local to Hampshire?

Anyone changed from old iron SBC to LS3 ?

Going LS would be a nice instal but quite a lot of work. Main issues would be the new fuel system and grafting the loom in place. A standard GM loom is the wrong way round and would have to bulk of the loom coming off the back of the engine. If you are happy to unpick it then no problem just time.

It took me longer to swap from SBC to LS than the build of the car. So mny things you have to change (Fuel, Wiring etc) and not a lot of space. Completley different car when finished but it does take a lot of work and cost!
