As posted I had the gear box out of the GTR this week. When I speak with guys contemplating a build, clutch life and performance always seems to be a concern. With 23,000 miles and 565 HP the GTRs flywheel and pressure plate only needed a quick clean up with a green scratch pad. No hot spots on either side. The clutch itself was probably more than good enough to reinstall but I bought a new one anyway. The temptation was to acquire a "upgraded" clutch disc but I saw the light and remembered the old saying " if its not broke, don't fix it" The clutch that is in there from the factory is smooth, it has very nice take up and it doesn't slip, so what needs improving? Probably if I went to an "improved" clutch the damn thing would be an on and off switch that chattered. So once again I would say the factory got this one right. Lee
