Hi

I am considering a megafuse next to the battery, and run all the electrical connections off the fuse - the Ultima loom, LS engine loom, extra AB power loom. The only connection on the battery will be the Megafuse, and the battery cable to the starter (which I will NOT put on the megafuse)...

Given this setup, what is a recommended fuse size? 100A? 125? 200? The fuses go up to 450A. Also, most of these fuses are 32V - will that be a problem for our 12V system, or does a 32V fuse also protect a 12V system?

Thanks

I doubt your alternator is larger than about 100Amp. If your consumption is higher than that then you have a problem.
On that basis 100 or 150 should do it.
The purpose of a fuse is to protect the wiring in the event of a short circuit. When you have lots of wires coming together on one fuse it is unlikely the fuse can protect the single wire that has the short so don't put on a fuse any higher than you can get away with.
TVRs typically have an 80A fuse.

I'm installing a 150A fuse which is connected after the master electrical cut off switch.
