Hi All

I am doing the final fit of the doors. I am happy with the positioning and panel gaps, but the door requires a lot of force to close properly on the latch - to such an extent that it can be done from outside where you can push down on it, but I can't imagine it would be possible to pull it down from inside and close it properly.

I am wondering whether I need to thin out the rubber seal mating surface (which I can see that the factory have done a bit - I had them do the bodywork prefit), or wait a bit with door in place to see if the rubber seal squashes down, or both?

Thoughts welcomed!

Mine closes when dropped from around 5-6 inches. If its not latched properly and you try to pull on it from the inside it would be tricky - I would open it and drop it from 5-6 inches to close.

Thanks Mark - that's useful to know. With the current fitment, there's no way the door on mine would close from a drop of 5-6 inches (or any drop for that matter) which makes me think I do need to get the file/sanding block out.

Well, I stand corrected. Just let go of the door from the suggested 5-6 inches and lo and behold it shut properly with a satisfying clunk - thanks for the advice!
