My sbc has passed away a few days ago and I'm considering my options.

I'm thinking about placing an order with GM motorsports Australia wich seem to have some good
ls3 offers. My main concern is if I go for a 590 or 650 bhp-engine will my G50 gearbox cope with the torque
or should I stay with the 560 ?

http://www.lsxraceengines.com.au/home.shtml

prices are in Aussie $ and 10% Australian tax included

Power: 560 HP @ 5750 RPM, 475 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4500 RPM.

Power: 590 HP @ 6000 RPM, 575 ft. lbs. of torque @ 4900 RPM.

HP & Torque: 650 HP / 565 FT LBS

Any advice would be welcomed.

Which G50 transmission?

Check the pricing with all the ancillaries etc. and remember you will need to modify the fuel system for the EFI and the engine mounts.

Good luck

gee its great when the Ozzi dollar tanks frown

you might want to check what the actual price is with them. if the website was written when the ozzi dollar was on par with the US then they may have been buying parts cheap. its around 60c to the dollar (USA) at the moment so prices will have gone up by 40%. they are also looking at increasing the GTS/VAT on imported items as well

So, from looking at that site a cooking 427 would be almost £8k plus shipping and taxes etc?

LSX motors = GM motorsport Australia. I presume that GM keeps it's site up to date...
