is the Ultima Evo available as a component system in stages or is it only a roller or a complete car now?

As a complete kit for you to build, as a part kit for you to add your non factory preferances (engine, gearbox etc) and part or completely built by the factory.

Any idea if all the proper bits I was looking to have auto bionics do or source myself like the Ratpor wireless controls and various CF bits and trim pieces, a proper LS wiring with ECU controlled cooling fans and hopefully ECU controlled fuel management is part of this now?

I assume price went up, hopefully not that much, here state side it gets spends with an SLC around it makes it tough do warrant.

Thanks

I hope you have had the chance to do some reading in the official Ultima site?

You'll probably find answers to most of your questions...

Been reading that site for almost 15 years. My build this spring got delayed due to cross country move AND I have to move again in the spring. I am feeling it is perhaps a good thing as I had 20K it autobionics stuff to fill the gaps that to be were glaring.

Proper wiring for LS3 with proper ECU control of fuel and cooling is my biggies. BA has that stuff, will be nice to know what is no linger needed outsourced.

Figured someone else would ask so I figured i'd post it for others to read.

I'll email and get a latest price sheet that will list the components and options.

Out of curiosity, how many LS engined cars on here have had cooling issues? And those that did, what manifolds were fitted?

Edited to add - aren't the fans ECU controlled if running a GM ecu? Mine certainly are, I think this is standard nowadays?

I have an idea there is a bit of paranoia re "overheating" I think some people can't understand that modern engines run hotter (generally) and if the water temp gauge hits 100 degrees they panic.
A 1 bar (14lb) rad cap is good to 110 of water without additives.
AFAIK 105 110 degrees is "the normal" fan cut in point for an LS.

I think Ford Mondeo's and the like run at about 110.

My only issue was with the petrol tanks getting hot with radiant heat from the exhausts, now protected with Nimbus sheet.

aLL. The "issue" of overheating is a false narrative. Bob Woods has competed in the silver state event with his 600 plus H.P. Ultima in Nevada at 5000 feet for 20 minutes at top speeds on fairly warm days and both air and water temps have stayed within parameters. I have idled my L.S. based motor for 15 minutes in 100 degree weather without exceeding 100c water temp. The issue is attention to all of the details, Good air seals on the inlet side of the radiator, a well constructed shroud on the back side with the best fans available. I run distilled water with water wetter no anti freeze, but remember it never freezes where I live. I have an after market alloy radiator which carries less water then the stock brass radiator. I did this to reduce some weight and it actually maybe detrimental to cooling since you have less water to work with and the water spends less tie in the radiator. I really don't know if the change to the alloy was helpful or not I would say its probably a draw.
