Hi All

I suspect most UK/European Ultimas are either ensconced in their winter home or are about to be tucked up.

So what little plans have you got for 'mods', 'repairs' or 'upgrades'?

My SPA dash has to come out and go for a repair as it has a glitch at above XXX mph.

Today I resumed work on my second (and interchangeable) front clip. I made a start last winter - or the one before, can't remember - on modifying the original so that it would fit on the current hinges and work with the existing chassis mounted splitter.

Fitted the new light pods (old one's were damaged) and started the sanding down.

I will be doing everything myself including the painting, so you can all laugh at the results next year at the Silverstone Classic!

Gearbox refresh, replace all bushes and rose joints, further simplification of the fuel system, zircotec the exhaust, replace the induction, new splitter and potentially a dash update.
All in an 8 x 15 garage lol.
Rear clam in the lounge, front clam, splitter, exhaust, wheels and wing in the 3rd, all the other bits in the 4th biggrin

Glad to see I'm not alone with the winter projects!

Had a decent day.
Glassed in the light holders so they are fixed.
Then spent the rest of the day sanding......and sanding.......and sanding to prep the gel coat for paint.

Some cracking to grind back and fill with gel. A few areas need ultra fine filler where I have used glass fibre to get the revised hinges to fit - so, more sanding to come.

Have another couple of things I am planning, but you will have to wait to see what they are.

yessssss, I'm editing and restoring my gtr:

new air intakes NACA on the hood and rear periscopes as zonda ...

I wanted to try a supercharger on my l98 (now i think 500cv?) that has already exaust+ comp-cam and ECU tuning.

add stabilizer-bars, very very necessary

repainted the all body (now red, but yellow???)

a look at the chassis ..... for prox season track-day
(GTR3 is my enemy number 1)shoot

My list is far too long......! The car is on axle stands, wheels sold, many bits due to be replaced / added over the next 2-3mths. My pocket is weeping already!

Nothing major for me compared to the rest of you!

Just really sorting out the car's bits that annoy me from my build, now I seem to have fixed the fuelling issues, so touch wood now have a reliable car.

1. Swirl pot that has always had a minor leak, when I get round to draining the cooling system (thought it was the cap leaking but have replaced it, played with it, and still leaks). Shame as I have fresh antifreeze in there and its not cheap!

2. The fitting of lumbar supports in my standard leather seats as it gives me a bruised back after a long drive. This will involve trying to peel back the leather then cutting out some of the foam. I've been told it can be done - seats out the car job. Anyone else done this as a retrofit?

3. Then finally I am going to try to sort out my fuel gauge which reads 1/16 full when actually 2/3 full (on both sides) so is of limited use to say the least. Thanks to MarkWebb for thoughts on that one.

Then I reckon I have the car fully sorted - other than the odd minor rattle which I'll keep looking to find!

Come on Steve. Make 2016 the year you get the yellow peril back at Stoneleigh and the Silverstone factory day.
What's the point in making all that money fixing other people's cars if you can't drive your own.......

Work in progress for me.. new shock absorbers and suspension all round, new extended wishbones, new Evo lightweight alloys, new Evo carbon LED headlight units, new carbon Evo front splitter, replacing both the door windows and vents with new ones, new rubber on all 4 corners, a spruce-up of the paintwork at the front and some new paint protection film plus a full factory service and geo setup and I am sure there will be a few other bits and bobs along the way.
