I fitted a new carbon wing this autumn, the previous Noble wing was nice but didn't match the curves of the rear clam.

However, it is 2 inches narrower than the Noble item (I don't know the standard Ultima width? smile)

Any chance you have any photos from behind of the car with each wing so we can do a like-for-like comparison?
Looks good though!

I believe (for road legality) it has to remain within the confines of the main body otherwise it is a potential hazard for pedestrians etc.

have you still got the noble one? and maybe thought of selling it?

what wing have you replaced it with and was it expensive?

James,

Are those higher wing mounts? If so where did you get them?

As well the mounting of the wing to mount also looks interesting, where might they be from?

I've got taller wing towers which mean you can see under the wing with the standard mirrors on a GTR. If you want some info on them please PM me.

Just remember to keep the front to rear aero balance.

Too big a wing on the rear will give lift issues on the front of the car.

Be careful.

Try Reverie or DJ racecars as mentioned above.

In addition to Paul's point about frontend lift, if you add more force at the back and the centre of pressure of the wing is behind the pivot point of the clam, you will have more force trying to open the rear clam. Worth considering as it is only held shut by a couple of latches.

Ours is 1800mm wide.

im already looking at mounting the rear wing off the rear chassis not on the clam at all

i feel the look of the car needs to be longer and moving the wing back like a group C lemans car the way forward

I should really sell it, it's just sat in the roof rafters of the garage!

I bought a drift works wing, it's the widest market example outside of custom fabrication I believe. Very inexpensive in comparison to others

Perhaps revisit the old Sports pylon rear wing? Once IVA'd it should be possible to replicate a similar mounting system to the old sports. The chassis won't be much different on the GTR. Would be tempted to make the whole lot of of carbon otherwise it be a bit on an arse detaching each time you want to open the rear clam
