Very quick question guys, I came across this old thread back from 04':-

My question is, can anyone recommend a recent purchase of a master cylinder from somewhere? Looking to lighten the current factory set up as it's starting to get me in old age :P

Would think this one would be better assuming your existing cylinder has the remote reservoir.

I'll do my best to accept virtual beer and get virtually drunk! wink

Yea my car already had the inbuilt res, so get the one that matched your existing set up for ease of installation.

I've heard these help too but are about 120 odd quid I think:

I am curious I have a G50-03 with the clutch and pressure plate as supplied by the factory. I find the weight of the clutch to be just about perfect. When I read the advertisement for the upgraded clutch cylinder they speak about a 30% reduction in pedal effort. I really question the balance of going to a lighter pedal feel with Manuel steering and a fairly heavy weighted shift linkage. None of that is a complaint I like it the way it is just curious about other owners thoughts. Lee by the way had to change a starter ing gear after 27,000 miles and the clutch plate was perfect as was the flywheel.

Yea Im not sure that slave cylinder would make too much difference but Ive felt an Ult clutch with that fitted but it was a std pressure plate and it was much lighter in comparison. I upgraded my plate to deal with more torque and it did make a big difference, I did 1500 miles with no issues on std plate, I upgraded the clutch and could drive it but stop start traffic actually gave me a blister on the ball of my foot! The above aster cylinder helped the pressure on foot and the helped with the control of the clutch too.

Im using a standard slave cylinder, but its nice to know I have the option to make it lighter if need be with that funky slave cylinder.
