Quite a few stay at Chateau Chanteloup, it's about 15-25 mins outside the circuit.

Because Lemans has always been on my bucket list, what would you guess the cost on a room would be and how much is a ticket and pit pass if they are available? Thanks Lee

During race week the Chateau owner turns away anyone who is not there for the race so the site is full of very special cars.
They hold a concourse de elegance which I won with my GTR in 2004.

Can't join Ultima convoy as this is the year I do the Classic for the first time.

I terms of cost Lee, it depends on what you want.

I stay in a private house in Le Mans, as paying guest (for 4 days) of the owner, and when you add the entrance ticket and grandstand seats it comes to about £700 to £800.
You can get to the circuit by tram (£10 for the weekend).

Hope that helps. Silly not to make a longer holiday in Europe though.... Lots to see in the Old World.

Lee,

This will be my 4th time to LMC from the US, but I always go with the De Tomaso folks as one US expat owner in Spain organizes a tour of the Loire or Dordogne region during the week prior. We hit Le Mans on Thursday and always camp, not only is it cheap but it's part of the experience IMO, you are right there and there's racing going on 24 hours, why would you want to leave!

This sounds fantastic. I would love to convoy to Le Mans.

Dependant on registration I'm hopeful to travel on the Thursday morning; staying on Bleu however. Chateau sounds like a plan for following year.
