Following on from my "Ultima GTR in Surrey?" thread, here are some of the photos of Mark's Ultima shoot earlier today. Glad we got to the location for sunrise as it was really worth it for that soft lighting and that sky.

Fantastic car Mark and really well put together!

If anybody is interested here's a timelapse of how the rig shot was retouched:

Looking great. It is a great car, in fact seeing it a while back is what made me decide to get one!!!

Great pictures

I remember the days when you took loads of pictures and just picked the best one!!!!
Looks like it takes longer to do the computer bit than take the photos......

Thanks again Alex - really interesting watching you in action and the edit video. A lot of work involved there. Really nice shots.

Maybe in the Spring we might get the group meet mentioned on the other thread.

Thanks Paul! Yeah, the rig shot edits take a long time. This one was about an hour (in the video it's sped up x10). The other shots don't take long at all though. I tend to try and get it right in the camera and take 3 exposures of each shot with the polariser so I have all the dynamic range there to play with. My camera doesn't have in camera HDR which is really annoying!

Thanks Mark, great meeting you today. The car is a credit to you, seeing as the only thing we had to do to get it looking like a show car was shine the tyres!

Finally a commercial style edit for which we stacked a tonne of flashes with softboxes with Mark operating the remote release for me! Not to everybody's taste but it's got something about it haha

Edit: it's now bugging me that the reflection of the rear wheel is brighter than the front!

No it's the use of a polarising filter that allows you to see through them, cutting the reflections and revealing Mark's black interior. But in the last photo I did darken the windows a bit as I thought it needed it in that one hehe

Love the images and the video, just shows the devil is in the detail.
