MSD setup - wire issue.

I am putting in a larger SBC in over winter, old engine used the distributer with inbuilt coil but I now have an MSD distributor and separate coil and so of course the wiring is different. Also have an MDS rev limiter fitted.

Anyone know the new wire setup please?

I have
Distributer - Pink/black and Purple/black
Ultima White/black and white.
MSD rev limiter - red, black, green, white.

Anyone with a similar setup please?

There are plenty of wiring diagrams on line but most are for the MSD 6A or 6AL system. Have you tried a google of the dizzy or rev limiter part numbers?

On the Ultima side the White is most likely ignition switched live and the White/Black is tacho signal to the dash.

Hi Steve, thanks.... yes realised I have a bit missing ! so buying an MSD 6AL which will sort things! Comes with a rev limiter so will make my existing MSD rev limiter redundant.

I have a 6AL under the bench somewhere if you want one.

just seen this.... also just bought one! thanks anyway.... might need to call you on how to wire it up. Colours of the wires dont seem to match up.
