Hello all,
2 quick questions:
1. Does someone have Steve Smiths contact details please? Google doesn't seem to help this time.
2. Does anyone know of an Audi V8 being fitted to a Spyder? The rear clam is a little tighter on a spyder than the can-am - wondering if any chassis mods are needed to make it fit.

Thank you!

Hi Guys - thanks for the replies.
Not received any messages - however I bit the bullet and now own an engine and box. I found a couple of pics that show the chassis mods I'll need to make, so all looking good.

That's my car smile It is with Totalheadturners now so I am no longer able to take pics of it since I am in Spain and the car is the UK. It is one of 2 or 3 I believe which Steve built a few years ago. The power train size allows for a very tidy install and the car drives really nicely, with lots of fun due to the broad rmp range of a modern day engine with VVT and no road use related problems like heat or anything. It really is an awesome power train for that car.

I have contact details for Steve (plenty of invoices for the build) and many pics if you still need any of that.

I just realised someone called me "Annie". frown

Anyway - would love any pictures you are able to share of the install.
I've got an AHC motor - so it's the earlier spec 32V motor with solid lifters - 340 hp, but non vvc.
I did find some later 40V motors, which have a little more torque but rev less (the AHC will spin to 7K I think).

Coupled with finding a close ratio box as well that's a good match on the ratios to the revs of the motor all the way to Vmax (none of the extra long 6th gear stuff), I'm hoping it'll be a good package.

I've located a few relevant pictures for you smile Can you please contact me on cuatrosegundos(a)gmail.com or Whatsapp +34-687242448?, since that's more convenient than these forums.

BTW, my engine reaches 7k happily...

Pm'ed you but if that doesn't get though check your email on file is correct. Or just Pm me with you address....
And he's fitted a Audi V8 to a Sport so I don't think a Spyder would be much different....
