anyone know when we can see it in the UK, not sure we can see velocity?

We have now been informed that it will air in the UK on the Discovery Channel for the first time on Friday 21st October 2016 at 21.00.
It will be repeated extensively after that.
Regards to all,

Regards to all,
I found it interesting, knowing what I do about building an Ultima. Especially the bits that are outsourced. I think the programme was a good advert for the brand and will do no harm to used values.
The big contrast with the following How-It's-Made - Ferrari California, on immediately after the Ultima programme. Various types of aluminium alloy in the chassis with multiple methods of joining those components. Lots of high tech design, material, construction and build process.
Yet the Ultima still has a edge on performance (I know the California is the least 'hard core' Ferrari).
The future will be interesting though and it will be interesting to see how long it is before Ultima is forced to go down the carbon tub route to keep the weight advantage. All supercar manufacturers are using CF to varying degrees, and kerb weights are reducing.
We are seeing big advances in material technology and construction methods so the future will be interesting.
And the then there is an electric Ultima!!!!
Well done Factory.

Enjoyed seeing the program, nice to see such a great car on TV again.
Could you owners/builders answer a couple of questions please.
Does anyone have their chassis galvanized prior to build?
Im thinking possible reasons not too - Weight penalty, Not generally used in winter?
The 3x floor panels shown riveted to the frame, just wondered why 3 and not a single panel requiring less holes in the structural chassis rails?
Do any owners anodise the aluminium panels prior to fitting?
Many thanks

I am pretty sure nobody has galvanised the chassis as the process involves quite a bit of heat which can distort the chassis. Also no point if you are going to drill lots of holes in it!
There have been one or two who have anodised the panels prior to fitting.
There is plenty of scope for a builder to stamp their ownership of the car on it and there will not be two exactly the same.

My Scamp has a galvanised chassis with lots of holes drilled in it and there is no sign of rust after 20 years of abuse. I did raise the question of a galvanised chassis with Ted when I ordered my chassis in 1998. He said they had considered it, but weight and risk of distortion ruled it out. The "new" chassis has far more bracing than mine so maybe distortion wouldn't be such a problem.Paul

For the 3 panels, I think of different reasons:Do any owners anodise the aluminium panels prior to fitting?
- one single panel would require anyway some rivets in the middle so that it doesn't bend
- the paneling is adding stiffness to the chassis, so rivets in the middle is a plus
- aluminium has a different thermal expansion than steel. With 20°C temperature difference on such length, it is not negligible.
Concerning the anodising of the alu panels, I did it for the panels under the car. They look smooth and beautifull, what I like is that they are not visible, as they are hidden below the car, I'm the only one who can see this. It is a similar situation than with my wife
The internal panels can't easily be anodised, as the must be hammered to follow the shape of the tubular chassis.

I didn't realise the temperature of hot dipping zinc is over 400 deg C.
TVR owners seem to dabble with the idea.
Thanks for replies
We do lots of TVR chassis restorations and use a Hot Zinc Spray process prior to paint or powder coat.TVR owners seem to dabble with the idea.
Thanks for replies

The process only heats the metal locally so does not need vent holes.
