Are there any other Ultima owners going to the Le Mans Classic this year?

Hi paul yes we are going in a convoy of ,Cobra Daytona ,Lambo,Griff + Ultima ,also got the chance for a lap of the circut , and special parking inside the display area , can't wait !

I am going in convoy with a mate in his 911.

We are staying in town and I doubt we will take the cars to the circuit as the tram is so convenient.
This year is a learning experience as I have only ever been to the 24 Hours before.

I am staying in France for the week after the race for a bit of sight seeing.

We will keep an eye out for you guys.

If you go on a walk around please come and say hi ,should be around by the cars hopefully,staying only about 8 miles out from the circut so will drive in each day and park up.First classic LeMans also, so really looking forward to it.

This will be my 4th time from the US, I'll be with the De Tomaso crowd touring the Dordogne region first and then camping in Bleu across from Maison Blanche.

No, I did briefly look into shipping the Pantera over, but it's costly (I'm on the west coast) and I would lose use of the car for an extended period.

We will be staying in the Hotel de France in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir after the race for a few days.

If you are unaware of the history of the Hotel de France it was where the Aston Martin team used to base themselves. Usually full of car nuts in a beautiful small town close to the Loire valley.

Good food too.

Well I am now back from the Ultima's 4th trip to Le Mans and my first Classic.

I think I saw John's GTR at the GBW/Pistonheads Friday meeting but we were leaving when we did, so didn't get chance to say hello.

We are there for the fun but seeing all the racing is not our 'bag'. It is the slower pace of life ,good food, drink, friendly locals and loads of cars to look at.

My GTR got me there and back again with only a bolt that needed tightening on my gear linkage and temporary glitch on my fuel-on-demand. Bolt sorted with a spanner but FOD needs laptop time. It was not an issue after the first day though.

If I had a £1 for every photo taken of it I could have more holidays a year!!

Still fun for me and many who see her.
