I am looking to fit a S8 4.2 V8 into my Lotus Esprit and wanted some help on ECU options!
Has anyone used the Audi ECU? or what is good aftermarket ECU to setup?
Help with engine loom and base map?

Thanks

If you want to do more with the engine then choose one of many aftermarket ECU.
If you are leaving the engine standard then use its ECU. Audi spent millions on getting it to run as well as it does.

You'll probably struggle a bit to use the Audi ecu as it will be missing LOADS of signals on the CANBUS. It can be done though.

I personally like MOTEC but look at Syvecs and Emtron as well.

the new Motec 100 series ECUs are much more scale-able then previous Motec offerings. Therefore a less expensive option for a street car when you are not using all of the multitude of race level capabilities integrated into the earlier units. Lee

I know a man who has done 6 Audi V8 ECU installs maybe even more. Even the newer Direct injection versions... Steve Randle is his name. Pm me if you want his contact details bud.... He's done Syvecs DTA Motec and others.... And he does nearly all SSS's electrical work... Oh and he runs a BBK version in his own car
