I am thinking about getting a ultima, I drove a can am and the heat in the cabin was intense, even with the roof off, I was wondering what its like in the hard top version? is it just as hot? does it help with AC? thanks for any advice

Mine has aircon and it works fine - driving without it would be unbearable - nabbott has a canam that had the same heat issue - he resolved it by piping cool air into the cabin from the front clip and also installing a clear shield in the roll hoop behind the seats as he found heat cascading into the cabin from behind when driving.

I own a GTR in Southern cal. Obviously I have seen some really hot days with the car and the A.C. was up to the task. Not freeze meat cold, but more than comfortable. Lee

"Tis true this has solved 90% of the heat issues inside the cabin. It can still be warm in there when the ambient temperature is +20C when stationary BUT it's nowhere near as bad as previous.

When I got my GTR the aircon wasn't really working too well (I didn't realise this, I thought it was as good as it got) and it was uncomfortably hot inside so I has the helicopter vents channeling outside air at me all the time.

When the factory serviced the car they sorted the aircon and now it is fabby and chilly.

I think the CanAm suffers from heat washing over from the engine bay, fitting a windbreak in the roll hoop will reduce this.
I have a GTR and it doesn't get uncomfortable ever.

try it with the low air deflector rather than the windscreen. That fixes the problem, only then you get bugs in your teeth ! But you are cooler !
