GTR FIA chasiss / roll cage history question

Does anyone have any additional information regarding the GTR FIA chassis / roll cage that was available at one time? Was it dropped as an option at one point? Good/Bad? Personal choice? I have found the following: Chassis: Full space frame, using mainly 38mm x 1.5mm diameter tube. MIG welded. Paneled in 1.5mm NS4 alloy sheet. Designed to accept engines up to 1000 brake horse power. FIA approved size is also available. Roll Cage: Full RAC approved competition cage option. The standard RAC approved cage is 38mm, but a 44.4 mm FIA approved cage is optional.

I though the full spec cage was still available, best ask the factory.
