Morning all,

I'm looking for a weekend toy, and have a very wide split of what I'm after, from a Aston V8V to the Ultima, I'm leaning more towards the Ultima as I have a XJR so would like something a bit raw like the Cerbera I used to have. This one has popped up that ticks most the boxes and I'm wondering if anyone knows it, of has seen it in the flesh?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

I'm in Aberdeen and the car is in London so a long way to go if its not any good!

Cheers in advance!

I'm sure it's not but it looks like they painted it with truck bed liner in the photo's!

Why would a RHD car fetch more in Germany?

I've asked for some better pics, I agree it looks like a strange paint job, if it is smooth I would likely get it wrapped - if its rough then I'll have to pay for a paint job.

Is it possible to fit a longer 5th gear for easy cruising?

I think that car has some potential, it has the good bits fitted, brakes wheels etc, sort the outside out and bargain hard when buying and you might have it all sorted for about 40k. Of course by Evo spec I think he means he bought some later wheels, as cant see much else from the new list on it

Don't know that car. I am not that far south of Aberdeen and there are a few more local owners up here than you would have thought.

Car is apparently located in Shrewsbury, anyone in that area?

Might be dipped. I dunno, looks different, I quite like the look.

If it is dipped you could just peel it off.

So its covered in a rough radar reflective paint, my issue is I think it will be a nightmare if I want to change the colour.

I have a bunch of pictures, anyone on here happy to take a look and give me some advice? Don't want to put them on the main forum as the owner may not want me sharing them.

Go have a look at Mark Hunter or Peter Chumleys cars - might be hairdressers cars but both in Scotland and will give you a good idea of what a good car looks like. Personally from the pictures you've added I would be worried as to why it was painted with underseal, the finish on the door glass and front light glass looks suspect, they are not easy to do, non standard pylons but thats not necessarily a bad thing. For comparison a 2 year old Black SBC sold on ebay this year for under £40K.
PS - get him to demo how well the paint works woohoo

Who on earth gave that car the "paint job"?

Plus it's an iron block not the more desirable LS engine. Does it have air con?

If you push the budget a bit more towards the mid 40s you will be in LS territory, hell you could have mine if you wanted!

Repainting that car will be bloody hard work or/and expensive.

As suggested, it could be hiding issues too.

I agree with others comments.

Apologies if this has been posted already. Car looks like it is wrapped. Car is currently registered as green so this makes sense to me.

It does have air con, I was looking at it as a bit of a blank canvas that I could make my own, but if the paint is going to be a nightmare to change it may be a deal breaker headache

My top limit is £40k, and that's been pushed up from the £35 I was originally looking to spend on the weekend toy! LS would be great though cloud9

If it is wrapped its a really good (in terms of application) one and comprehensive, I see no signs around the clam catch area or inside the clam reveals where the film would be cut and finished.
The fact that its registered as green doesn't mean much. mines registered as red but in fact is blue and orange.

Agree with FC and Storer.

If it's a wrap it's a great job. I think it's paint and I reckon it would be cheaper to buy a new body than have that prepped and repainted.
