The difference between and Ultima and any other supercar is how it can be funded.

The big manufacturers all offer the deposit + monthly payments + final balloon payment method of 'ownership'.

I would love to see Ted's face when a client asked for that type of deal......

So after a very enjoyable morning drive down to Goodwood with friends and a fellow Ultima owner it finally dawned on me what a mistake it would be to sell the Ultima clap - having built the car it was starting to feel like betrayal and like selling a member of the family, not only that but I realised there's nothing that I'd want to replace it with. woohoo
So i'm keeping it - nothing else will do laugh

yuk... so ugly at the rear,,,,
Think you are bit harsh since the looks are subjective, but at £240k it is hardly in the same ballpark as the Ultima in terms of price but I am sure it will be a lot of fun.

In saying that, I think of Lambos as almost being a caricature of a supercar so need them to have a bit more OTT looks with more vents and scoops and WTF-looks. So for me, a Countach or Diablo GT or even an Aventador Superveloce would fit the bill. I would settle for that colour tho.
I agree about the rear of the Huracan it is it's only failing for me but perhaps a spoiler and a few subtle changes will make the difference on the Performante. That said let me tell you none of the cars listed above will keep up with the standard H cross country or even on track come to think of it hence I'm getting one on order very shortly!

Crikey, I am sure it will be an awesomely fast car. At about £240k it really should be but in terms of price it is in a different league to an Ultima that you can get for about £40k all the way up to a factory built 1000BHP Evolution at £140k(ish?)

My point was a personal one. For me, ownership of these type of cars have to have a huge chunk of WTF factor and be seriously overloaded with visual and aural drama whether they are on the road, on the track or just parked up at traffic lights. The power and performance is taken as a gimme but if that was the only criteria then I guess everyone would drive around in Nissan GTR Nismos or whatever the latest Porsche GT3 was.

I appreciate that here on PH we get a bit desensitised to supercardom but for me the Hurican looks "fine" and it looks even finer in that colour. It's a bit like the various Mclarens (with the exception of the totally WOW looking P1) which also all look fine and I would stop and have a nosey at them if I saw one driving past or parked at a car meet. But, I wouldn't really covet one. Thankfully, we are all a bit different smile

Nice one Steve. I'm sure the Scottish trip next year will endorse that!

I think he would jump at the chance, after all it's usually a finance company behind the whole HP/lease thing. Ted would get his money and the buyer would get his deal.
Admittedly some mainstream manufacturers offer some silly cheap "rentals" now but on the whole it is the big finance houses behind the deals.
