Anyone using heated wind screen here.... have any idea how the screen loom interfaces with the other loom.

As far as I know there is nothing in the loom to deal with heated screen unless something changed since 2010 which is the last build manual I have.

So, the heater will need to be wired in directly. Did it come with a circuit diagram. If so post it up and I will see if I can advise.

My loom is not the latest and if this option was introduced lately the new looms might have connection for it.

I still need to receive the screen and body so for the moment I don't know what are the connections on the screen

Attached diagram which was provided by the Factory.

It's in the prototyping stage ....... I am sure it will be added to extras on the manual soon....

That is a diagram for the sub-loom manufacture.
All well and good but does not show you where to terminate to the car.
Perhaps you will get something more when it arrives.

This is also something I think about ..... I am sure brakes are better with a servo.

Instructions from factory on how to wire a heated screen to the GTR loom:

Please see below for what is required:


-Earth to windscreen and Earth to timer relay

-Battery power source to timer relay

-Ignition power source to switch and timer relay



-Non Latching switch that comes with a built in warning light

-Timer relay

-Fuse holder



We can supply a timer relay for £21+vat

Great Info.... so it's a timer relay ...now it makes more sense.....

Also found a diagram how to connect the timer....
