So a small some of you know Mercury Race Engines managed to fit one of their 9.0ltr BBC based engines, with 32 valves and twin turbos, into the back of a GTR.

Now it looks like they have fitted their new LS7 32 valve heads into an GTR. 770bhp on normal fuel! See the following link for details.

More important Dom is the price.

$28000 without ancillaries and probably wiring loom and ECU!!!!

It also seems that you can't reverse the inlet manifold judging by the nasty positioning of the K&N air filters.

I think the 6.2 litre supercharged engine would cost a similar amount with 200hp more.


Not that I think a road going Ultima needs that much grunt......

Surely a turbo is the way to go on a conventional platform? It'll be cheaper.
