Just wondering what position you take regarding allowing a prospective purchaser of your pride and joy to take her for a test drive. At the moment the car is on Sorn and I haven't insured her as I'm returning to the States within the next couple of months,
I have bought all my previous cars from the passenger seat.

No chance of a test drive here.

If I was to sell my car it would be with me driving until the cash is in my hands/bank.

Too much of a risk IMO.

Robin was trusting enough to let me try before I paid but I drove like 'I was driving Miss Daisy'.
These car's are too easy to reverse into a hedge/building/ditch/another car.

I agree with Paul and understood that was the case when I bought my car so I did not hassle the seller. My experience and awareness in other component light weight high powered vehicles gave me a good feel even in the passenger seat.
