Can anyone recommend a company (ideally in the southeast but not essential) who might be able to repair my broken G50/50. The lugs which locate the clutch release fork pivot in the bell housing, have both broken. I suspect that one lug broke off first allowing one end of the pivot to move forward putting a sideways load on the other lug, which also broke. The bell housing is an aluminium casting and the lugs are hardly what you would call robust.

The problem happened on the way back from Stoneleigh but had the decency to wait until I was within 5 miles of home so that I could be towed back. I have some photographs of the damage which I could E-mail to a prospective repairer for a preliminary assessment.

I'd be inclined to ask this question on the Porsche forum too, as they're fairly likely to know of somebody who can help.

Virtually any Porsche specialist should be able to fix it, or order the parts. The release fork is a well known weak spot.

Dunno too many in the Southeast, but JZ Machtech come highly recommended and they are in on the outskirts of London. There may be one nearer you. Could be worth a post on the Porsche forum as suggested.

James/Domster. Good idea, I'll try the Porsche forum but will be on holiday from tomorrow so will delay posting until I get back.
