I want to get a ultima as my first car that i will have ever bought i figured i might as go all out. Can the ultima be able to allow a big person drive it im kinda big @ 6 foot and 350 pounds so im kinda big, but i am going to change a lot of the interior etc around when i get the cash to get a gtr. have any of you tried putting a paddle shift transaxle in your car? and as build time would this car be a descent build for a first time kit car builder. o and right now i do have some exp in doing work on cars cause my dad bought a 72' nova that needed a lot of work and were gonna turn it into a pro street drag car so i can do some descent work.

General Petres SIR! .... permission to speak:

We have some good news to report and and some bad news to report.

The good news is that paddle shift has been fitted to an Ultima.

The bad news is that the cabin is tight, and it takes a bit of acrobatics to get inside.

Hi,

Good luck with the project, Ult's are designed with first time builders in mind but you can modify as much as you want.

you may say its for girls but i live in socal and am in traffic every day going and coming from school. now if i lived in a non high traffic area shure i would go all out and get a manual tranny and have some fun but i dont. Most racing vehicles today have paddle shifters such as some rolex cars, indy, f1, some rally, i said most not all. if theirs room in the car i think some nice recaro seats are in order biggrin .

Not quit shure what your trying to say their.

The bit about getting the Ultima as your first car I understand. I can understand why you wouldnt want a manual car in traffic. What I dont understand is why you would want an Ultima if you're only going to be stuck in traffic for the rest of your school years? Its only going to make socal more polluted. Why dont you get an electric Ultima, then you dont even need a gearstick.

The recaros are a great idea, especially if they are nice ones as you suggest.

are you going to fit some big subwoofers?

Don't fun of my speling biggrin . As for exhaust i will be running dual high flow cats to help cut down on emissions. yes i will probably have a 10 inch sub and some nice speakers. As for driving in traffic it varys some days its bad some days its smooth driving. An just cause i live in a high traffic area doesnt mean i cant take the ultima out for some fun driving or take it to the california speedway to do some laps.

OK.... no more jokes about the spelling... we'll move on.

Are you only going to put one sub in there? - why only 10" - isnt that a bit small, Ive heard of guys with friends that are planning on fitting 15" ones.

How much HP are you aiming at? Wont the cats restrict the power too much?

Any photos of the Nova?

the nova is still in the restoration stage right now but i have the engine parts just need to put it together its a 383 smbc puts out 500 horse. im still deciding on what i want to do when i get the money to start buying the ultima, but right now i think i have the engine narrowed down to a 427 smbc world warhawk motor with arao heads and maybe a kinsler air intake if i can find a descent priced one lol. as for the sub i am still deciding but this is the sub i would like to put in the car but i dont believe their is enough room to fit in the ultima: http://www.audiopulse.com/products/subwoofer-drive... . speakers i was thinking about either focal or mb quart.as far as horsepower i want 650+.

FANTASTIC Sir... we have some GREAT news for you....The Ultima is indeed the PERFECT car for you.

At 6ft you'll fit, but at 350lb you wont, so if you had an Ultima now you would definitely have and not need.

It will be first car i buy not drive. i currently drive a 02 yukon, 88 suburban, 05 avalanche, and am working on a 72' nova. An since it will be a while before i will buy the car and be able to drive it when i do place my order that leaves more than enough time for me to lose my weight just think of it as a goal to work forward to lol. I mean what is the best goal than on of the fastes most bad A$$ cars that ever hit the road at a user friendly price biggrin

Move the seat into a central position like the F1 and he can spread out a bit. In fact it could have arm rests and a reclining function. Big subs on either side and a roof entry/exit aperture. Sorted.

By the way, where is Leo?
