I'd love to come, but since my bodywork only arrived yesterday it's unlikely I'll have a finished car to play out in

Not impossible, just unlikely!

Would be only too honoured to attend. To drive the car is one thing, but to watch it being driven in anger as it was meant to be, is another.

Welcome aboard the PH Ultima forum on behalf of the crew and good luck with the car.

Just like to say congratulations (belatedly) for a fantastic weekend at Oulton. I love the car, and it was great to see it doing so well. Pass congrats on to Steve as well

Late reply, just returned from Holiday. I should have my completed Canam back from factory this weekend. Would be great to get the car into public at Brands. I do not as yet have a roof so it would be a little weather permitting.

Right, Peter Claridge from Master Motorsport introduced me to the coordinators of the GT series at the weekend.

They're very keen to help out and have confirmed that they will set a display area aside for 12 cars. The owner of each car will be provided with two complimentary entrance tickets.

They hope to be able to lay on a parade lap, but they can't guarantee it.

If possible we will allow these cars to carry out a lap of the circuit. This will be behind a Safety Car and will be at a controlled pace of no more that 60 mph. It is essential that seat belts are fastened and that all drivers and occupants have signed on. Unfortunately, no minors will be allowed to take part.

So far, I have the following confirmed as attending on the Sunday:

Andycanam (Can Am)
Chewy + Brother (GTR + Can Am)
Ultiman (Mk 4)
DaveJW
GTR Mike (GTR)
GTR Clive (GTR)
Ultima Paul (GTR)
Ultima Simon (GTR)
Blue Satin (GTR)
Stig (GTR)

So we've got one set of tickets going spare. First come, first served, just email me with your address.

Should be a great sight!

And the last one is Brian and his Can Am (Crazy of Cookham).

I'll get onto the BRDC and sort out the tickets. Sounds like some sort of convoy will be required Sunday morning (this I have to see!)

Maybe we could all meet at Clacketts? Then have a full convoy down from there?

(I'd need to meet Guy at the Peartree though! You know how confussed he gets)

Cant wait. A meet up at Clacketts sounds interesting even though l will be driving from the oposite direction (deepest Kent). This all assumes l have the engine back in the car but due to a world wide shortage of roller cams, there may be a further delay.

I was intending going the back route from Sevenoakes to avoid the traffic. Could meet in Brasted at the pub normally used for the SE meets (Grass-something)

Seeing as the car returned from the Ring without problems at the weekend, I'm excited to receive the tickets.... Any news Ted?

Cheers,

Dave

All details were passed over last week. I expect they'll be sent out early next week. If you don't get them by Tuesday morning then let me know.

So, pre-arrival rendevous at Clackett Lane then?
